Dangote Refinery IPO: Subscriptions Now Open via Moniepoint POS Agents

By allcitynews.ng

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has expanded access to its ongoing Initial Public Offering (IPO), allowing prospective investors to subscribe for shares through participating Moniepoint Point-of-Sale (POS) agents nationwide.

The initiative is aimed at widening retail participation and bringing the opportunity to own shares in the refinery closer to millions of Nigerians, particularly those who rely on agency banking for financial services.

The shares are being offered at N525 each, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares, translating to a minimum investment of N5,250.

According to the company, investors can make multiple subscriptions during the offer period, allowing them to gradually increase their holdings.

The company said the use of Moniepoint’s extensive agency network was part of efforts to broaden participation in the capital market and support its ambition of creating one of Africa’s largest shareholder bases.

“One of the key objectives of this public offer is to broaden participation and make share ownership accessible to ordinary Nigerians,” the company said.

It added that agency banking had helped expand financial inclusion by bringing financial services closer to underserved communities, noting that the same infrastructure was now being leveraged to facilitate greater participation in the capital market.

Prospective investors using Moniepoint agents are required to complete their transactions through the approved subscription process and retain their receipts as evidence of payment.

Investors will also receive SMS confirmation of their subscriptions through the telephone numbers registered for the transactions.

The company advised prospective subscribers to study the IPO Prospectus carefully and seek professional advice from licensed stockbrokers or financial advisers before making investment decisions.

Details of approved subscription channels and the Prospectus are available through the IPO portal.

The development represents another expansion of access to the Dangote Refinery share offer, with the company targeting a broad and diversified shareholder base across Nigeria.
