NDLEA In Partnership Agreement With MFM To Strengthen Fight Against Drug Abuse

Image
By allcitynews.ng  The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Lagos State Command, has entered into stronger collaboration with Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) as part of its campaign against substance abuse, particularly among young people and vulnerable communities. Commending the roles played so far by the church in tackling drug abuse, NDLEA sought for more contributions of Olukoya and the church to the fight against substance abuse. Noting that stronger collaboration with MFM would help expand prevention, rehabilitation and public education efforts in the fight against substance abuse,  especially as MFM has established drug and substance abuse Centre. The Lagos State Commander of the NDLEA, Commander Abubakar Wali Liman, made the call when he led a delegation of senior officers on a courtesy visit to the General Overseer of MFM, Dr. Daniel K. Neo African Centre kicks against appointment of Adedeji Tinubu’s re-election fundraising team

Image
By allcitynews.ng  A public policy and good governance think-tank, the Neo African Centre (NAC), has raised the alarm over the appointment of the chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Zack Adedeji, into the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council. Under the arrangement, Adedeji is to serve as the Deputy Director of Fundraising for President Bola Tinubu’s election campaign. In a statement by its Director of Public Affairs, Richard Manson, the Centre frowns on the appointment, asking President Bola Tinubu to withdraw it forthwith. It wonders why the chief revenue collector of the country should be saddled with the partisan role of raising campaign fund for the man that appointed him. Such a move is indicative of corruption and capable of eroding public confidence in the chairman of the revenue agency. The statement reads in part: “We have noted with consternation and disbelief the recent appointment of the chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service ...

FG releases new operational guidelines for WAEC, NECO students’ assessment records, punitive measures to checkmate examination malpractice

Image
By allcitynews.ng  In apparent bid to curb examination malpractice, Federal Government has officially released new uniform national Continuous Assessment (CA) guidelines, forcing examination bodies including the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO) to establish secure, interoperable student CA portals linked to the Nigeria Education Data Infrastructure (NEDI). Image
By allcitynews.ng  The leadership of Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) has put state and local governments under the spotlight, demanding that they publicly account for the huge resources that flowed to the sub-national governments between June 2023 and December 2025. The demand came after the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, revealed that the Federal Government’s reforms had mobilised N15.8 trillion for the Federation during the period under review. The demand for disclosure of how states and local governments collectively received N10.4 trillion from increased Federation revenues utilised the amount, following the removal of petrol subsidy and foreign exchange reforms has opened a fresh front in Nigeria’s debate over public accountability, fiscal transparency and the real impact of the Federal Government’s economic reforms Of that amount, N5.4 trillion accrued to the Federal Government, while N10.4 trillion was d...
