Easter Message, Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund helmsman, commends staff, charges them to sustain the power of sacrifice

Managing Director/Chief Executive, Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Barr. Oluwaseun Falaye, has celebrated staff of the Fund and commended their positive attitude to duty.

Just as he charged the staff to sustain the power of sacrifice.

Faleye, in an Easter message on Sunday, congratulated the staff on the occasion of the rise of Jesus Christ from the dead and also reminded them of the power of sacrifice.

"As we celebrate this sacred season of Easter, we are reminded of the power of sacrifice, the promise of resurrection, and the hope that never fails.

"Easter is a testament to new beginnings, renewed strength and the victory of life over death. It calls us to walk on faith, love and unity; values that guard us not just in this season but in the mission we fulfil everyday at NSITF."

Furthermore, the NSITF helmsman said,
"To each member of our NSITF family, thank you for your unwavering dedication, resilience and commitment for protecting and empowering Nigerian workers.

"Together, we are making a lasting impact, building a future of security and dignity."

He wished all the staff a wonderful and fulfilling Easter celebration.

  The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has released the full list of 16 officers of the Armed Forces of Nigeria who were indicted by a Special Investigative Panel over allegations of serious misconduct, including an alleged plot to overthrow the government of President Bola Tinubu. The Director of Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba, disclosed on Monday that the panel had concluded its investigation and found that several of the officers had cases to answer. He said the affected personnel would now face a military Court Martial in line with established procedures and extant regulations. Major Gen. Just-In, FG Declares Thursday, Friday Public Holiday For Eid-ul-Fitri

The federal government has declared Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, 2026, as public holidays to mark Eid-ul-Fitr. A statement on Tuesday, 17 March, by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Mrs Magdalene Ajani, urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of love, generosity, peace, tolerance, and sacrifice emphasised during the holy month of Ramadan. The work-free days were declared by government to celebrate the end of the 30-day Ramadan fast observed by Muslims in Nigeria and across the globe.
