Nestlé’ Nigeria says its infant formula not affected by global recall, reassures consumers of wellness-compliance products

Nestlé’ Nigeria has clarified that infant formula products sold in Nigeria are not part of the voluntary and precautionary recall recently announced in some countries. Just as it reassured consumers of wellness-compliance products at all times.
The company, in a statement by the media department explained that while Nestlé has initiated a recall of specific batches of infant formula in certain markets as a precautionary measure, no products manufactured or distributed by Nestlé Nigeria are affected.
According to the company, all infant formula products sold in Nigeria are officially registered with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and meet all local safety and quality standards.
Nestlé Nigeria further assured consumers that all SMA product ranges—including SMA Gold 1, SMA Gold 2 and SMA Gold 3—as well as all NAN products—NAN Optipro 1, NAN Optipro 2 and NAN Optipro 3—currently sold in the country are safe for consumption.
The company emphasized that product safety, quality assurance and the health of infants remain its highest priorities, adding that it continues to work closely with regulators to maintain strict quality controls across its operations.
Nestlé Nigeria urged consumers to rely on official information channels and reassured parents and caregivers of its continued commitment to delivering safe and high-quality nutrition products.
