Media Group, TransQuest expresses readiness to Celebrates 20th Anniversary, Honours Otunba Olufemi Orioye

TransQuest Media Group/ Transport Development Symposium and Awards is scheduled to celebrate its 20th anniversary on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at Lagos Airport Hotels, Obafemi Awolowo Way, lkeja, Lagos.

‎The Managing Director of the group who is also the Chairman, Organising Committee, Mr Felix O.Kumuyi and the Board Chairman, Chief Olufemi Ogunsusi, stated this in a statement signed by the duo.


The theme of the one day transport seminar/Quest Awardees' event is "Attaining Africa's Trade/Maritime Hub:Leveraging Nigeria's Maritime Potentials to Drive Economic Growth".

The occasion would be chaired by Professor Bamidele Badejo while Professor lyiola Oni of the Department of Geography, University of Lagos (UNILAG), would be the Guest Speaker.

‎

‎ According to the statement, the event is uniquely packaged with Symposium/Lecture while the main segment of the event is the significant value to the growth of the sector by seasoned speakers and agencies' CEOs with full audience participation.

‎

The statement also added that the event would witnessed celebration of a media practitioner and a community leader, Otunba Olufemi Orioye, who also a staff of the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC), who would be honoured with a Merit Award For Outstanding Media Practice.

‎

‎The decision to celebrate Otunba Orioye, who is the Convener of Campaign Against Drug Abuse and Cultism, a Non-Government Organization, is borne out of his sterling performance, professional conduct and contributions as a hardworking and steadfast Media Practitioner with years of dedication and commitment to his media profession.

‎"Most importantly,we take cognizance of his landmark achievement at various media leadership levels,where he performed creditably to the admiration of all.

  The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has released the full list of 16 officers of the Armed Forces of Nigeria who were indicted by a Special Investigative Panel over allegations of serious misconduct, including an alleged plot to overthrow the government of President Bola Tinubu. The Director of Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba, disclosed on Monday that the panel had concluded its investigation and found that several of the officers had cases to answer. He said the affected personnel would now face a military Court Martial in line with established procedures and extant regulations. Major Gen. Uba said the investigation examined the circumstances surrounding the conduct of the officers and identified actions that were “inconsistent with the ethics, values and professional standards expected of members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria,” stressing that the process was purely disciplinary and aimed at preserving internal discipline, cohesion and operational effectiveness.
