Fidelity Bank storms Fire Service Station with CRS, donates fire prevention, fighting tools to Ikoyi Fire Service

As part of initiatives under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Fidelity Bank Plc has visited Fire Service at Ikoyi, Lagos.
During the visit, the bank presented fire fighting and preventive equipment to the Fire Service office, at Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Speaking at the Ikoyi Fire Station on Wednesday, December 10, the Team Lead, Corporate Social Responsibility in Fidelity Bank Plc, Mrs. Victoria Abuka, who led the team of Fidelity Bank explained that the aim of the donation which comprised fire fighting and preventive tools were parts of the bank's ways of addressing the needs both individuals and corporate bodies across the.country.
Also she said the gifts by the bank is one of the key drivers of Fidelity Bank's CSR focus. Fidelity Bank is always interested in sustainability of everyone.
“We believe that protective measures through prevention is the best approach than reactionary measures. In Fidelity Bank we reach out to corporate bodies and individuals as a shared responsibilities.
"This visit to Fire Service today is a continuation of our ongoing efforts to drive sustainable and best practices."
In a chat with allcitynews, after the presentation, Controller CF, Funke Adebayo warned everyone against fire work during Christmas period and against carelessness with inflatable materials, which could attract naked fire.
According to Adebayo, "We are in harsh weather period where fire must not be toyed with by children. In this celebration period, parents should prevail and prevent their children from fireworks, such as knockout, etc, which could lead to fire outbreak. That was why we embarked on sensitisation exercises in many corporate communities to warn them against preventable fire incidents."
Moreover, the Fire Prevention officer stressed, "Although we already visited many organisations against toying with fire works especially in the dry season, I want to use this medium to appeal to everyone to make their workplaces and their homes safer from danger," Adebayo stressed.
On his own part, CSF Oswere Michael commended the bank for the fire fighting tools.
Michael further urged parents and adults to strictly adhere to fire preventive measures both at home or workplaces.
