More reactions have trailed the tribute from the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, as he joined millions of Nigerians in mourning the passage of the renowned evangelist, Uma Ukpai.
When Dr. Olukoya, from the pupil, announced the death of Uma Ukpai, the cleric reminded everyone of the popular saying, that "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal".
Since his remarks on the demise of the late evangelist three weeks ago, many people, both MFM members and other Christians from other denominations have been expressing their comments saying the tribute from a cleric like Olukoya has cemented their faith as it has shown that he is in oneness with other anointed men and women of God.
In his chat with allcitynews.blog, Ojiemeke Omo Francis, of the Catholic Church, while commending the tribute from Olukoya, added that his open remarks on late Ukpai has further consolidated his confidence in Olukoya.
Ojiemeke, who though a Catholic but also a friend of MFM, who occasionally partake in some MFM activities, and even watched that same programme that day said, "What MFM GO did was a big honour for the late evangelist. I know Ukpai would love it.
"However, I believe so much in honour done to people when they are still living than when they are no more living."
A pastor in MFM, outside the shores of Nigeria, Pastor Rene Albert, said she was happy when she saw G.O on the pulpit made such announcement.
According to Rene, "Though I was surprised to see our GO giving testimony about the late God’s general, but that testimonial created happiness in me to see our Daddy G.O making such tribute, the remarks showed his in cordial relationship with other anointed people of God, which is my joy."
Another respondent, Brother Samuel Willie Ndata, on his part, said,
"As Uma Ukpai was an inspiring messenger for the gospel, his outreach touched the lives of many brethren all over the world. He was a man of God and fearless soldier of Christ. I'm very glad to see our GO identify with such a renowned man of God.
According to Willie Ndata, who also is a member of MFM, "As we mourn the passing away of the renowned Evangelist Ukpai, let us take consolation in his selfless contribution to the growth in the body of Christ and his legacy of service to mankind, because he was an inspiring messenger for the Gospel. His outreach touched the lives of many brethren all over the world. He was a man of God and fearless soldier of Christ, may his soul rest in perfect peace."
Similarly, Reverend Stanley Ihedigbo, of
Divine Methodist Church, Ejigbo, Lagos State, described the tribute from Olukoya as a show of love to the bereaved and encouragement to Christendom.
Ihedigbo noted, "Though death is death and there is no Christian that will not sympathise with those who are mourning, the open confession has made many of us see him as a man in cordial relationship with others. Dr. Daniel Olukoya is not a lone ranger, as some used to believe.
"What Olukoya displayed here is also in line with my belief, because I always interceed for all men and women of God, including Dr. Olukoya, because they are people young ministers are looking up to.
"As Uma Ukpai was a man that has paid his price in the work of the Lord in Nigeria and outside the shores of Nigeria, it is most commendable that Olukoya recognised him and honoured him."
