Access Bank Sets To Strengthen SME Growth with New App, Maiden MSME Conference

Access Bank has concluded plans to host the maiden edition of its MSME Conference on Friday, July 24, 2026, at its Head Office in Victoria Island, Lagos.



The conference, themed “AI for SMEs: Scaling Through Digital Tools,” will bring together entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers, and technology experts to explore how artificial intelligence can accelerate the growth and competitiveness of Nigeria’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).


 

The event will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions led by representatives from the presidency on Entrepreneurship Development, Master Card, Huawei, World Trade Center Lagos, Dataleum, Aktivate Labs, and other leading institutions. 


These sessions will provide participants with practical insights into digital transformation, emerging business trends, and innovative solutions that enable SMEs to build resilient, technology-enabled enterprises and scale sustainably.


 

A key highlight of the conference will be the official launch of the Access SME App, a newly developed digital platform designed to simplify business operations for entrepreneurs. The application integrates essential business management and financial tools into a single platform, enabling SMEs to manage and scale their operations with greater efficiency.

  The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has released the full list of 16 officers of the Armed Forces of Nigeria who were indicted by a Special Investigative Panel over allegations of serious misconduct, including an alleged plot to overthrow the government of President Bola Tinubu. The Director of Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba, disclosed on Monday that the panel had concluded its investigation and found that several of the officers had cases to answer. He said the affected personnel would now face a military Court Martial in line with established procedures and extant regulations. Major Gen. The federal government has declared Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, 2026, as public holidays to mark Eid-ul-Fitr. A statement on Tuesday, 17 March, by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Mrs Magdalene Ajani, urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of love, generosity, peace, tolerance, and sacrifice emphasised during the holy month of Ramadan.
