The leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Agnes Funmi Sessi has joined other well wishers in sending congratulatory message to the Principal Private Secretary to the President of the Federation & Fmr Head of Service Lagos State Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, as he is marking a another year today.

In the message, Sessi on behalf of Lagos State workers prayed for more fruitful years ahead, saying, "Happy birthday to the Principal Private Secretary to the President of the Federation & Fmr Head of Service Lagos State Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola who distinguished himself in the Public Service.

  The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has released the full list of 16 officers of the Armed Forces of Nigeria who were indicted by a Special Investigative Panel over allegations of serious misconduct, including an alleged plot to overthrow the government of President Bola Tinubu. The Director of Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba, disclosed on Monday that the panel had concluded its investigation and found that several of the officers had cases to answer. He said the affected personnel would now face a military Court Martial in line with established procedures and extant regulations. Major Gen. The federal government has declared Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, 2026, as public holidays to mark Eid-ul-Fitr. A statement on Tuesday, 17 March, by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Mrs Magdalene Ajani, urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of love, generosity, peace, tolerance, and sacrifice emphasised during the holy month of Ramadan. The work-free days were declared by government to celebrate the end of the 30-day Ramadan fast observed by Muslims in Nigeria and across the globe. The statement issued today said, the minister of Interior, Mr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who declared the holidays on behalf of the federal government, extended warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
