The General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Worldwide, Dr Daniel Olukoya, has dedicated a newly built one-storey chapel donated by the MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministry, Lagos Region 15 (Victoria Island), to King’s College, Lagos.
The ceremony, held on Thursday, was attended by senior MFM pastors, members of the college’s management, teachers, and students.
Addressing the students and staff at the dedication ceremony, Olukoya emphasised that greatness was not achieved through influence or status but through God’s favour and personal mastery.
“God does not need VIPs to promote you. He can use somebody you don’t even know, somebody small, to move you to your next level,” he said.
The cleric, who shared a personal story of divine intervention during his student days, recalled how he secured a Commonwealth Scholarship to study in the United Kingdom despite submitting his application two months after the deadline.
He narrated that after being ridiculed and turned away by officials, a humble messenger carrying food plates offered to help him, introduced him to his boss — who turned out to be the official in charge of the scholarship — and that was how he got the opportunity.
Olukoya told the students that there are three pillars of success that anyone who desired greatness must embrace.
He also advised the students to cultivate diligence and excellence in their studies and careers.
“First, if you want to be great in any subject, you must be a master of that subject. Second, whatever you know how to do — do it well. When you do, people will cross borders to find you. And third, every human being created by God is a solution to a problem. Once you discover that problem, people will come looking for you,” he said.
The event, attended by senior pastors of the MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministry led by Pastor Clement Imoru, also drew the Principal, Vice Principal, and senior teachers of King’s College, who expressed appreciation to the ministry for the new chapel.
The MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministry has carried out similar projects in educational institutions, including the University of Lagos Staff School, Methodist Boys High School, and Queen’s College, as part of the ministry’s ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts. From Punch Newspaper
