Commuters, motorists groan as part of Kara and OPIC bus stops are gradually becoming another unavoidable traffic scenes for motorists.
Concerned that the spots are becoming emerging motor garages that are almost converting into another popular Ogere area, the stakeholders called on Ogun State Government and FRSC to deal with the problems before they become monster and deeply problems.
As motorists and commuters are now stylishly being forced to navigate along the four lanes road that is now being changed into two lanes, starting from the verge of Ojudu Berger Bridge to the Long Bridge, inward Mowe Ibafo, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, most people are expressing their fear that the portion, if urgent step is not taken by the constitutional authorities now, will soon become traffic headache as motorists now spend almost an hour trying to come out of the traffic jam created by those motorists that are carving two lanes out of the four lanes into loading areas, thereby compelling people going outside Lagos to squeeze themselves into the remaining two lanes.
In a chat with allcitynews.ng, Mrs Yemisi Oluwabusayomi appealed to Ogun State Government to create the vast space inside the area as garage and prevent them them occupying the side of the road.
According Oluwabusayomi,"unless Ogun State and FRSC officers step into the emerging Ogere motor park now, they will be very difficult to be handled in the nearest future, after all, they were not using here as their park some months ago, this is the real time to dislodge them before it is too late. Government should push them inside the OPIC area which would prevent them from spreading and encroaching on the Expressway."
Another concerned person, Mr Babatunde, called on Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) officers and Ogun State Government to push those motorists into inner space inside OPIC than allowing them to create heavy traffic along the route.
"Ogun State Government should make them go into the area around OPIC as their loading area."
